How much is the deposit to book a burial at sea ceremony?

Accepted Answer

A $100 deposit is required to secure your date and time. The remaining balance is due at the time of the ceremony. For the attended service, the total is $550 for up to 3 people ($50 per additional person). The non-attended service is $425 total. You can pay your deposit securely via PayPal or Square.

How far in advance should I book?

Accepted Answer

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially during spring and fall when demand is highest. However, Captain Brad does his best to accommodate last-minute requests — call us at 386-401-9900 and we will do everything we can to fit you in. Weekend and holiday dates fill up quickly.

Question 3

What happens if the weather is bad on my ceremony day?

Safety is our top priority. If weather conditions are unsafe for the ceremony, Captain Brad will contact you to reschedule at no additional charge. Florida weather can change quickly, so we monitor conditions closely and will always prioritize the safety and comfort of your family.

Can I change or cancel my booking?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we understand that circumstances can change. Please call us at 386-401-9900 as soon as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel. We will work with you to find a new date or discuss your options. Please note that deposits may be non-refundable depending on the circumstances.

Question 5

What do I need to bring on the day of the ceremony?

Accepted Answer

Please bring the cremated remains in a container or biodegradable urn, any biodegradable flowers or mementos, a music playlist if desired, and comfortable non-slip shoes. Captain Brad will provide a brief safety orientation before departure. The boat departs from 2455 Boat Ramp Drive, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168.
